Dr. Fanfan Wu
 Social Scientist
U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Human Foods Program

How does social and behavioral science shape communication, food policy, and public health at the nation’s leading food regulatory agency? In this talk, Dr. Fanfan Wu offers an overview of the Behavioral and Social Science Branch within FDA’s Human Foods Program – a team whose work spans both qualitative and quantitative research on food and nutrition topics. She will also highlight a selection of projects illustrating how social and behavioral science informs the agency’s communication, education, and outreach efforts, as well as program priorities and policy decisions.
